Known for always bringing good vibes and positivity wherever she goes, Grlswirl team rider Val LaForge is just as well known for her radiant smile as she is for ripping a bowl barefoot. Val genuinely loves skateboarding - she’s so happy when she skates that you can see it in every photo she shares. She’s travelled the world with her board, spreading the stoke of carving, and helping women and girls deepen their connection to skateboarding and to each other.

A true inspiration, her skating is both stylish and effortless, even when she’s grinding deep and steep in a bowl that would make most of us shudder. We’re so stoked to be making her own custom model in collaboration with Grlswirl, with a graphic by Naomi Marika, and a custom shape designed with Val to fit her riding perfectly. 

The Carver Grlswirl Sunflower CX Surefskate model has been a beautiful collaboration with Val LaForge, the joyous barefoot bowl rider and GrlSwirl team rider. From the 80s-inspired side-cut shape to the new double kick mold, it’s dialled for the skate park, the pump track and anywhere else you’ll want to roll on.

CX TRUCKS

This is Carver’s hybrid surf and skate truck. On the one hand it’s a lightweight standard RKP (Reverse King Pin) hanger and base, on the other, it has a patented geometry that squeezes every bit of turn and pump from the system. This means that you can pump this truck like a C7, but it lands airs and rides fakie with more stability as well. This opens up aerial manoeuvres, and keys in with the latest progression of airs in surfing.
