SURFBOARD SIZINGS:

When hunting for a surfboard, you need to think about what conditions you're going to be surfing in. Whether your local has small, clean waves. Or if you're wanting to go for the big bucks and shred some big boy waves. This needs to be a thought in your mind when picking out the perfect boards for you.

If you're an adrenaline junkie and want to shred some killer waves then a short board will be ideal for you. Shortboards tend to be any size below 7ft. Shortboard perform perfectly on fast, steep waves. Although if you are a beginner, these boards are not ideal as they're more difficult to paddle out on and harder to perfect your skills on. However, if you are after an easy, laid back ride, the longboards are perfect! These are any size, typically above 8ft. They have the most buoyancy due to their large surface area. Ideal for beginners as they make catching a waves a little easier and they can help you perfect your paddling and your turning. Funboards are pretty gnarly too (a.k.a mini mals). Due to their width, they offer great stability for beginners. Although they are shorter than a longboard they still offer excellent paddle power.
