The Pantheon Hoku Wheels were developed in collaboration with Adam Ornelles, one of the world’s top competitive distance skateboarders. Adam played a key role in refining the 92mm Karma wheels, but his push for even greater performance led to the creation of the 102mm Hoku Wheels. Designed for longboarding and long-distance pumping (LDP), these wheels are built for speed and durability. Every aspect of the design was meticulously tested, with Pantheon experimenting with multiple shapes and moulds to perfect the wheel's performance. The result is a wheel that offers superior control and consistency.

One standout feature of the Hoku Wheels is their deeper flex channel on the inside lip, which provides extra edge flex to accommodate their larger 102mm diameter. A carefully designed 52mm contact patch keeps the weight down while maintaining reliable grip. Through extensive testing, Pantheon discovered that wider contact patches, while offering slightly more maximum grip, resulted in unpredictability. In contrast, the 52mm contact patch offers consistent performance and a more trustable feel, even when pushing the wheels to their limits. The lighter weight, thanks in part to the smaller contact patch, makes these wheels ideal for long-distance rides without sacrificing control.

With a 55mm custom lightweight core and a carefully optimized urethane shape, the Hoku Wheels are the lightest in their size category. They provide unparalleled roll speed and smoothness over rough pavement, making them perfect for long-distance riding. The large 102mm diameter helps smooth out road imperfections and debris while providing superior momentum, though riders will notice an increase in ride height by 5mm compared to the 92mm Karma wheels. While these wheels require more power to get going, they maintain momentum effortlessly, making them ideal for LDP enthusiasts looking to maximize roll speed and efficiency.
